PlayStation 4 will launch in Japan on February 22, 2014, Sony has announced.
The date means that Sony’s next-gen console won’t launch in the territory until three months after its debut in Europe and North America.
To make up for the delay, Sony will offer a limited-run day one PS4 pack including a free digital download of Knack and an extended 24 month warranty.
The console will cost 38,980 yen (£250), or 43,980 (£282) with a PlayStation Eye camera.
PlayStation 4 launches first in North America on November 15, and follows in the UK two weeks later on November 29.
