Ninja Theory has revealed its final official trailer for Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice before its release in early August. The developers of Heavenly Sword, Enslaved: Odyssey to the West, and DMC: Devil May Cry, have also revealed that Hellblade will be a PS4 Pro enhanced title as well, which is great news for all you 4K tv owners out there.
The developers announced on the game’s website that, ‘PlayStation 4 Pro players will have the choice between experiencing Hellblade with enhanced resolution or at a higher framerate of 60fps. High-end PC owners will have the option to play Hellblade with an uncapped framerate and in resolutions up to 4K. Hellblade on PC will also support 21:9 ultra widescreen’. So if you’re a visual junkie, this news is indeed a selling point.
The trailer is entirely in-game footage, and shows the protagonist, Senua, paddling a on a log through the fog, being freaked out by the sun’s rays (understandable), and even engaging in some jumpy-pointy-stick fighting. It’s all looking pretty nice, if rather bleak, considering the game’s underlying theme of mental health.
Hellblade will be out really soon it’s due to release on August 8 for PS4 and PC. If you pre-order on PS4 you’ll receive a dynamic theme, and on PC you’ll get an exclusive digi-comic. Spiffing.
