Notifications informing players that a friend has come online look set to be introduced to PS4 in a future firmware update.
The new notification appears at the 10 second mark in a video released by Sony today (pictured above), notifying the player that a friend has logged into PSN.
Login notifications have been one of the PS4 community’s most requested features since the console’s launch last year, with Sony stating during the summer that the feature “is under consideration for a future system software update”.
Sony has yet to formally confirm when or if friend login notifications will be introduced to PS4.
