Despite the console being unavailable for another three weeks, the PlayStation 4 version of Call of Duty: Ghosts managed to sell more units than the PlayStation 3 versions of Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag and Battlefield 4 last week, Chart Track has revealed.
3% of total Call of Duty: Ghosts sales were attributed to the PS4 version, outselling the PC and Wii U versions.
The statistic was revealed during the announcement of this week’s chart, which saw Call of Duty: Ghosts storm to the top of the UK Top 40.
The PS4 version performed “spectacularly well for a game that consumers will not be able to actually play for another 3 weeks,” Chart Track says.
Call of Duty: Ghosts launched on PS4 alongside the PS3, Xbox 360, Wii U and PC versions last Tuesday, November 5, with the Xbox One version due to launch this Friday, November 15.
