The PlayStation 3 is set for release in Japan on November 11, and as we get closer to the big day more official pricing information is coming from Sony. Today comes information regarding the pricing for several PlayStation 3 peripherals in Japan.

First up is the DualShock replacement, the Sixaxis, a wireless control pad with motion sensing capabilities. The pad will go on sale from November 11 and retail for 5,000 yen (£22). Next is the PS1/PS2 Memory Card Adapter, also available from November 11 and retailing for 1,500 yen (£7). This will allow the PS3 to read data from a PS2 or PS1 memory card.

Finally we have the remote control, a must for those planning on using the PlayStation 3 as a Blu-Ray player. It will be available from December 7 and will retail for 3,600 yen (£16).

The PlayStation 3 is scheduled to launch in Japan on November 11, followed by the North American launch on November 17, and then Europe sometime in March 2007.
