Fight Night Round 3 has already done the rounds on the Xbox 360 and current-gen consoles, and EA has now announced that the game will be available for the PlayStation 3 on December 12. Obviously this only applies to the North American release, with a release in Europe probably coming in March 2007.
The PlayStation 3 version isn’t just a straight port of the Xbox 360 game either; a new mode called Get in the Ring will allow you to fight in a first-person perspective, with the screen splitting in two when taking on another player on the same console.
One disappointment is that the game won’t be out at the North American launch of the PS3, especially since the game isn’t really anything that new. Still, if you’re getting a PS3 and haven’t already got Fight Night Round 3 for the Xbox 360, it’s certainly a game worth adding to your collection.
