2K Marin executive producer Alyssa Finley has revealed that development of BioShock for PS3 is based in the 2K Marin studio, but the team has been collaborating with 2K Australia and 2K Boston.
Additionally an external developer partner has been brought onboard, which although cannot currently be revealed is said to have “some outstanding PS3-specific coding chops”.
Having people from all over the world on the project means there’s hardly any time when someone isn’t working on the game.
“The good news is that with all these teams on the case, development on the PS3 version goes on for roughly 18 hours a day!” said Finley on the official PlayStation blog.
In future updates Finley is promising to “go into more depth about what’s different and what’s new in the upcoming release”.
BioShock is currently scheduled for release on PS3 in October.
