Konami of Europe has announced that the Pro Evolution Soccer series is turning to management. Produced by Akiyoshi Chosokabe, a member of Shingo ‘Seabass’ Takatsuka’s Pro Evolution Soccer development team, Pro Evolution Soccer Manager lets players manage any club from six European leagues.
As you’d expect, the player must control every aspect of club management, from transfers to training. Data from Pro Evolution Soccer 5 can also be transferred to the game for the creation of ‘Dream Teams’.
“We are delighted to offer a companion title to the ever-popular Pro Evolution Soccer 5,” commented Martin Schneider, European Marketing & PR Director of Konami of Europe. “Pro Evolution Soccer Management adds new depth to the series, and is an incredibly absorbing strategy title that will continually surprise the player with its level of detail.”
While the Pro Evo series has appeared on other systems other than the PlayStation 2 in the last few years, it appears that Pro Evolution Soccer Manager will be a PlayStation 2 exclusive, with no news on either an Xbox or PC release. The game is expected to be released in 2006.
