Bethesda has announced that its first-person sci-fi game, Prey, has a free one-hour trial on PS4, Xbox One and PC. All progress including achievements and trophies will carry over into the full game.

Players will be able to play through a whole hour of the pretty decent, if critically underappreciated shooter. A word of warning though, it’s pretty damn scary and once the game gets going, it doesn’t ever let up.

This is the first time that there’s been a playable trial of the game for the PC. Any achievements and trophies gained will carry over, so that’ll please the collectors out there. There was previously a playable demo on PS4 and Xbox One, but this didn’t carry over progress into the game.

It’s a pretty good time to dive back into the world of Prey, especially following the release of a recent update that’s improved the game’s performance across the board. You can download the trial from the respective digital storefronts now. So what are you waiting for?

Prey is out now on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
