The latest edition of the Premier Manager series of football management titles is on its way to PC and PlayStation 2 on August 18, which is just in time for the kick-off of the Premiership season.

The 2006-2007 edition won’t simply be a new set of player stats inserted into the existing game – we’re promised a massive overhaul from last year’s version, with a vastly improved navigation system. The player stats have obviously all been updated to reflect the changes since last year, and managers are free to take jobs in England, Spain, Italy, France, Germany and Scotland. Along with the domestic competitions, assuming your team is good enough, you’ll also be able to compete in the European competitions in the quest for more silverware.

Premier Manager is an extremely important franchise for us and this year’s game marks a tangible improvement in the title over previous versions. There is a large and established Premier Manager fan-base and I am certain they will not be disappointed,” said Barry Hatch, Managing Director of ZOO Digital Publishing.

Premier Manager 2006-2007 on PlayStation 2 and PC is scheduled for release on August 18, and should retail for around £19.99.
