Microsoft has announced that pre-loading is coming to Xbox Game Pass, and will start with the highly anticipated Crackdown 3 on Windows and Xbox One.
The news was confirmed on Twitter by Xbox's corporate vice president, Mike Ybarra, who also revealed that Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden will take advantage of the feature.
One of the biggest asks we’ve had for @XboxGamePass was to allow pre-load (pre-install) so you can download and be ready the second launch happens. It’s available now – and starts with Crackdown 3 on Xbox and Windows.

Elsewhere, the format holder revealed the next batch of games set to leave Xbox Game Pass in the next two weeks.
The list is as follows: Brothers – A Tale of Two Sons, Casey Powell Lacrosse 16, Resident Evil Zero, Sherlock Holmes: The Devil's Daughter, The Technomancer, This War of Mine: The Little Ones, and Mega Man 10.
