There was much excitement yesterday when the German PlayStation Blog reported that the upcoming PS3 version of Portal 2 would feature support for PlayStation Move.

“So the move to the PlayStation 3 comes late – we’re sorry for that. As a small compensation we have PS3-exclusive cloud saving, a free code for PC and complete PlayStation Move support,” Valve’s Chet Faliszek was reported to have said.

However, this excitement was short-lived, with Valve issuing a statement denying any such motion controller support.

“Unfortunately this quote was ‘lost in translation’ – Portal 2 does not include support for Sony’s motion controller,” explained Valve.

Portal 2 will be released on April 22 for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.
