PopCap Games has released Unpleasant Horse on the App Store, the first product from its 4th & Battery Games label.

You play as a horse with wings, bouncing off flying ponies and in turn sending them to their death by way of some terribly unpleasant meat grinders.

Unpleasant Horse was created in PopCap’s first Game Jam event, where employees had 24 hours to create games in small teams. While the final game was tweaked and polished in the weeks that followed, it’s essentially the game that took a day to put together.

It’s also a game that Apple has previously rejected due to mature content – something we’re not sure has been changed in the final version.

First impressions of this in the office suggest Unpleasant Horse isn’t as impressive as PopCap’s usual output, but it’s a decent and amusing diversion that can be downloaded for free.
