Pokemon X and Pokemon Y will cost £39.99 each on the Nintendo eShop, Nintendo has confirmed.
The high price means players looking for a digital version may want to look elsewhere. GAME currently offers a 3DS download code for either game for £34.99 along with a free download of Pokedex 3D Pro worth £13.49.
The physical version is currently available for around £32.99-£34.99 across various online retailers.
Pokemon X and Y is the first core Pokemon title to release on Nintendo 3DS and the first to feature full 3D graphics. The game launches this Saturday, October 12.
