Update: Nintendo has announced that Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon combined have sold over 2.1 million units in their first 12 days on sale in Europe.

Pokemon Sun Moon 2 million

Pokemon Sun/Moon has become Nintendo’s fastest-selling release ever in Europe, the company has confirmed, with over 368,000 units sold in the UK alone during its first week.

First week sales across Europe total over 1.5 million units, although it isn’t clear whether this figure represents the number of units shipped or sold through to consumers. UPDATE: The figures represent the number of units sold through to consumers, The Pokemon Company has confirmed.

Pokemon Sun and Moon debuted at No.3 and No.4 respectively in the UK charts earlier this week, behind FIFA 17 and Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare.

The game is the latest entry in the long-running series, and sees players heading off on a monster-hunting adventure across Alola.
