A new version of Pokemon Sun and Moon is heading to Nintendo Switch in 2017, according to a new report.

Eurogamer claims to have been told that the new game will be titled ‘Pokemon Stars’ and will be the first mainline Pokemon game playable on TVs. You should probably think of it as the Pokemon Yellow to the Game Boy’s Pokemon Blue and Red.

The game is reportedly being developed by Game Freak and will include features “not found in the 3DS versions”, plus support for Pokemon Bank, allowing players to transfer Pokemon to and from the 3DS games.

Pokemon Stars may include additional Pokemon over the 3DS versions, too, although the report states that it has yet to receive confirmation from all of its sources.

Pokemon Sun and Moon launch in the UK on Nintendo 3DS next Wednesday, November 23. Pokemon Stars will not be a Switch launch title, Eurogamer claims, with the game instead aiming for a launch in late 2017.
