The Pokémon Company has launched a new free Daybreak update for Pokémon Legends: Arceus on Nintendo Switch.

Yes, announcing a new generation of Pokémon titles wasn’t the only thing on the Pokémon Day agenda yesterday. During the broadcast, the publisher also announced that the latest entry has received its 1.1.0. update too. The main feature of the new patch includes some endgame content, as well as a few smaller additions.

As per the patch notes, new requests include an investigation into Massive Mass Outbreaks. If that’s not to your fancy, a new ‘I’d Rather Battle’ option allows you to meet Arceus and take on some super-tough battles. The training ground also has some new challenges for budding trainers. A new higher-difficulty balloon race has also been added to the Coronet Highlands. On top of that, players can also nab themselves 90 free Poké Balls by using the password ARCEUSADVENTURE.

If that wasn’t enough, yesterday also saw the giveaway of some goodies for Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl players. Those playing the entry from last November can now get Oak’s Letter from the Mystery Gift menu in game via the Internet option. Doing so will allow them to begin a quest to nab themselves the mythical Pokémon Shaymin.
