Pokkén Tournament, an arcade fighting game from Namco Bandai’s Tekken Team, will make the transition from Japanese arcades to the Wii U worldwide next spring, Nintendo and The Pokemon Company International have announced.

Looking like Tekken but with Pokemon characters, Pokkén Tournament aims to combine traditional fighting game elements with an authentic Pokemon experience, bringing fan favourites to life like they’ve never been seen before.

You can see the announcement trailer below, but it’s worth noting that the visuals on show come from the arcade game.

Look out for a new character announcement at the end of the trailer.
