Pokémon Link! is just Pokémon Trozei going by a different name in Europe. It looks like the game retains all the same game modes which include a single player story mode, and several wireless multiplayer modes. The single player game casts the player as Lucy Fleetfoot, a secret agent for Secret Agent Operations League (SOL), and your mission is to rescue the stolen Pokèmon from the evil organisation Phobos. Essentially Pokémon Link! is your normal coloured-block based puzzler, with an added Gotta Catch ‘Em All theme.
Multiplayer modes include wireless Link Battle Mode and Pair Link Mode, a co-op game in which the challenge is to beat the game’s high score. Some of the more rare species of Pokémon are more likely to appear in the multiplayer modes, making the modes essential to those intent on collecting them all. The game also includes Download Play so you can enjoy the multiplayer modes with friends even if they don’t own the game.
Pokémon Link! is scheduled for release across Europe on May 5.
