The Wall Street Journal (via Polygon) is reporting that Sony is looking to get PlayStation VR headsets in arcades all over Japan.

A ‘location-based entertainment’ task-force of sorts has been put in place by Sony Interactive Entertainment to seek out partners for its VR initiative, which includes virtual reality arcades.

One of the main issues with all of the VR headsets on the market is that to really appreciate VR, you need to try it in order to appreciate what it can do. If this does come to fruition and it’s a success for SIE, it may push more PS4 owners to pick up the pricey peripheral for home use.
