While a month and a half has passed since the PlayStation Network returned to the UK, the service remains unavailable in Japan.
Still, at least Sony’s latest maintenance update makes the effort to poke fun at the situation. As shown on PlayStation.com, the message reads:
“The PlayStation community is down for maintenance. Very important maintenance. It’s not like someone got overenthusiastic with a PlayStation Move and knocked out the servers. Not at all. Where did you get that idea? We’re maintaining things.”
Last week Sony issued a statement regarding Japanese PSN, apologising for the ongoing delay.
The message added that the service will “be back soon”, but naturally the question remains “how soon?”
It’s nice to see Sony employing a bit of humour, but the truth is that they probably wish that someone had knocked over a server with a Move. It’d be a lot easier to fix than the recent hacking mess.
