The Microsoft-Sony FTC case has been long-running now, and while the focus is centred around Blizzard, Activision, Call of Duty, and other big names, the PlayStation Project Q price might have been leaked as collateral damage.

Sony surprisingly revealed the Project Q at their PlayStation Showcase in May, however public perceptions of the cloud-streaming handheld were pretty sceptical. The design alone sparked mockery in online communities, while the Project Q specs are still largely unknown. However, a recent leak may illuminate exactly how much the PlayStation Project Q might cost.

Stephen Totlio, a fairly well-known reporter, recently tweeted the following image which appears to be a segment of documents from Microsoft’s lawyers. Highlighted is the following text: Sony is also anticipated to release a handheld version of PlayStation 5 later this year for under $300.

While a handheld PS5 sounds enticing, it’s highly likely that this is actually the PlayStation Project Q instead.

The main thing here is the possibility of a $300 price-tag, however the existing PlayStation Backbone is available for much, much less. Upon release, we’d like to see a much cheaper price for the Project Q.
