Earlier this week SCEE announced price details for first-party PlayStation 3 software. Retail disc-based games from Sony will carry a recommended retail price of only £39.99 and this applies to titles including MotorStorm, Resistance: Fall of Man and Formula One Championship Edition.

The platform holder also announced European pricing for titles which will be released on the PlayStation Network. These include original games such as BlastFactor, flow and Super Rub a Dub, but also Namco Bandai’s Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection. Sony has now revealed that in the UK these titles will carry a price in the range of £1.99 – £6.99, meaning PS3 owners will be able to purchase Tekken 5 for no more than £6.99 – sounds like a bargain to us.

The PlayStation 3 goes on sales across Europe on March 23.
