During his Tokyo Game Show keynote delivered early this morning Sony Computer Entertainment president Kaz Hirai has confirmed that the release of PlayStation Home has been delayed.
No demo of the online networking application was shown and Hirai announced that in order to “truly meet the needs and feedback of the users” an autumn release was not possible.
Hirai also revealed that the Home delay is not down to any technical problems, but simply to ensure the application will have functionality suitable for people the world over: “We want to make sure we have a full range of services,” said Hirai.
PlayStation Home is now expected to launch in the spring.
