Bluehole Studio Inc. has released its latest patch onto the PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds test servers, prior to rolling out on the live servers later in the week. There are a number of new features coming to the game. The first of these is a new town called Kameshki, the implementation of foggy weather effects, and a new semi-automatic rifle called the Mini-14. Banging.

The foggy weather effects have been teased before by the PUBG creator, Brendan Greene, and the release of some new screenshots show how this new weather effect impacts visibility changing how players should approach those gloomy areas. It reminds me of when I used to go running around Clapham Common early in the morning, except I didn’t have to worry about being shot at. Not often, anyway.

The new town, Kameshki, is located East of Stalber, and will provide players with plenty of seaside sniping opportunities.

A new semi-automatic rifle has been introduced to the fray. The Mini-14 is a lightweight and compact 5.56mm semi-automatic marksman rifle. Players will be able to attach sniper rifle parts to the gun, and it’ll also be able to use any type of optical sight. The downside, however, is that the weapon has lower damage stars than other marksman rifles, but at least it has a high muzzle velocity and low bullet drop.
