According to a profile from Bloomberg, Bluehole PUBG Corp. is in talks with Sony over launching a PlayStation version of the hundred player free-for-all game. PUBG has become ridiculously popular despite not being out of early access on Steam yet, but it’s due to launch on Xbox by the end of the year.

The word ‘exclusive’ was thrown around the Xbox One launch announcement, but Microsoft in particular are given to using it in confusing and creative ways, so nobody was quite sure if it was an exclusive exclusive or a timed exclusive.

Bloomberg has now revealed that Bluehole founder Chang Byung-gyu said he’s ‘had talks with all of the major console companies’ and that, while Microsoft will ‘launch the title exclusively on Xbox’ (there’s that word again), there are talks with Sony to bring the game to PlayStation after that.

This isn’t really a massive surprise. Although it’s a big deal for the Xbox One to get PUBG first, no dev is going to want to limit a title when it’s this popular before it’s even launched. That, plus everyone being really cagey about nailing it down as an exclusive, of course.
