The team that looked after development of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds at Bluehole Studio is apparantly becoming a subsidiary of the parent company and taking on the name PUBG Corporation.
Gametoc (via Kotaku) has reported that producer, and man who isn’t a huge fan of Fortnite, Chang-han Kim will become the off-shoot’s CEO.
With a name like PUBG Corporation it’s probably safe to assume this wing of Bluehole will be focussing all its efforts on the Battle Royale juggernaut. The decision to make the team it’s own thing is to supposedly react to gaming trends more quickly. There are also plans to set up offices in Japan and Europe.
I mean, it’s not getting any less popular, so why not?
