In addition to the publicised new features included in the latest PS3 and PSP firmware updates, owners of both consoles can now utilise Remote Play functionality to play PSone titles on their PSP.
Remote Play makes it possible for a PSone game (game disc or download from the PSN) to be played on a PSP via the PlayStation 3. It’s easy to get going, but don’t expect a perfect portable version of your favourite PSone titles. Because the game is being played wirelessly there is some lag and you’ll need to reassign the controls to work with the PSP buttons and single stick.
Despite its problems Remote Play is a great feature that’s well worth checking out.
