Steam is hosting a free multiplayer weekend for Painkiller Hell & Damnation, Nordic Games has announced.
Already up and running, the free weekend is open to all-comers and some great prizes are on offer to the best three players. The global leaderboards have been reset to ensure everyone begins on a level playing field and is in with a chance of winning.
Whoever occupies the top three spots of the Deathmatch mode leaderboard when the multiplayer event closes at 9pm GMT on Sunday, February 3 will win the following prizes:
- Global Number one wins: Alienware Desktop Aurora + season pass for all present and upcoming DLCs
- Global Number two wins: Alienware Laptop M17x + season pass for all present and upcoming DLCs
- Global Number three wins: Nvidia 660 GTX TI + season pass for all present and upcoming DLCs
Data for the global ranking will only be gathered from official servers and not from private games.
Throughout the weekend the game will also be on offer at the discounted price of only £6.12, a 66 per cent saving on the regular asking price.
