Play.com Live, which took place at Wembley Stadium over the weekend of March 15, has been hailed an “amazing success” by the event organisers, with over 20,000 people attending. The show featured a blend of the latest video games, live music, competitions and trailers for upcoming movies.

“For our first show it was an amazing success,” head of games at Play.com Gian Luzio told MCV. “Just over 20,000 people attended, and was spread evenly over the two days.”

Luzio added: “We were concerned the turnout might be affected by the weather, but that wasn’t the case with gamers showing up in their droves. I was particularly delighted by the number of families that showed up, and the feedback they gave was overwhelmingly positive.”

Games on show included Far Cry 2, Ghostbusters, Haze, Indiana Jones, Race Driver: GRID and The Bourne Conspiracy.
