Players can use their Miis as fighters in the upcoming Smash Bros for Wii U and Smash Bros for 3DS games.
Nintendo bosses Satoru Iwata and Reggie Fils-Aime demoed the new feature during the opening of Nintendo’s E3 Digital Event, with both of their Miis duking it out on one of the game’s levels.
Miis fight empty handed, but can be equipped with special weapons to become more proficient at range or distance, such as swords or guns.
The 3DS version of Smash Bros will launch on October 3, 2014, with the Wii U version launching holiday 2014.
