Nintendo has announced a new Pikmin game for Nintendo 3DS.
Due for release in 2017, the game, which is simply being called ‘Pikmin’ for the time being, is slightly different to the overhead strategy games of old, instead offering up a side-scrolling platformer that sees Olimar using the alien creatures to move objects, battle creatures and overcome obstacles.
Nintendo says that the game is being designed “with action in mind”.
The first footage of the game was revealed during Nintendo’s 3DS Direct earlier today. To check it out, head to the 57:35 mark in the video below.
