Pikmin 3 has received an update which introduces a new Stylus control scheme, NintendoEverything has spotted.
The new stylus controller option is set to ‘on’ as default, but players can switch things back to how they were in the settings.
You’ll know the update has been installed as the game will boot with the message, “GamePad control style has been set to [Stylus]. You can switch back to the original controls via the menu”.
If you’ve picked up Mario Kart 8 then remember that registering the game earns you a choice of one free game, with Pikmin 3 one of the available titles.
