Oxygen Games has announced that Phil Taylor, who recently won his 14th world title, will be providing his expert knowledge to Rebellion on the development of PDC World Championship Darts 2009 for Wii and Nintendo DS.

“I’m very happy to have won the world championship and am looking forward to helping Oxygen Games make the best darts game to date,” said Phil Taylor. “Hopefully they’ll make sure I’m the toughest guy to play against in the game, you know, to ensure it’s as realistic as possible!”

PDC Darts 2009 producer Steve Hart added: “It’s been a real pleasure to have not only a true professional, but also the world champion giving us ideas and feedback on how to ensure we get the throwing motions, dart flight and other crucial factors spot on, to make this the most realistic darts game possible.”

PDC World Championship Darts 2009 promises to feature a completely rebuilt Wii Remote throwing method, greatly improved graphics, new game modes and new champions to challenge. Versions for Wii and Nintendo DS are scheduled for release on May 29, 2009.
