Phantasy Star Universe heading to PC and PS2 next year

SEGA of America and SEGA Europe have announced a spring 2006 release date for Phantasy Star Universe for PC and PlayStation 2. The game will include both a single-player adventure and an online multi-player component.

Developed under the guidance of Yuji Naka (Sonic the Hedgehog and Phantasy Star Online) Phantasy Star Universe looks set to offers gamers what they have wanted in previous online Phantasy Star games. As well as a strong multi-player online component where players can travel together and see an ever changing world, players will be able to experience a single-player adventure that features more than 40 hours of gameplay. The single-player adventure puts you in the role of Ethan Weber, a 17-year old cadet who must save his sister from a mysterious life-force called the SEED.
