Ten years after its PC release in Japan, Phantasy Star Online 2 is coming to the West. It will make its debut on the PlayStation 4.

The game has already been available on PC and on the Xbox for a year. And now it makes its way to Sony’s console. Like the Xbox and PC versions, the new release will have the “New Genesis” subtitle. Check out the trailer below:

The description reads:

“As it might be difficult to understand the relationship and differences between PSO2 and PSO2: NGS on the PSO2: NGS teaser site and in the currently-released trailer, this is a 4K follow-up video for current and past PSO2 players to better understand, based on what we can reveal at present.

PSO2: NGS is a huge-scale update to PSO2, updating the game system and graphics engine. Celebrating 20 years of PSO and 10 years of PSO2, we’re planning to release this update on a global scale, including Japan and North America, as we look forward to many more years of PSO2 in the future. The dev team has eagerly taken on this new challenge in the hopes that more people will come to enjoy the PSO2 series.”

Phantasy Star Online 2 is out on PS4 on August 31st.
