PES 2015 for Xbox One and PS4 aims to elevate on-field realism to all-new levels, creating the same heart-in-mouth feeling fans gets when watching a crucial real-world match.

Developed jointly by Konami’s Tokyo and Windsor-based PES Productions team, this year’s game promises to return to the franchise’s core PES values of total control, responsive controls and unrestricted control of the in-game action.

PES Productions says it has completely reworked the in-game shooting and goal-keeping mechanics.

Excitement Of Goals

A new shooting system allows a variety of unrestricted shooting styles with the promise of precise control over the direction and power of all strikes. To balance this, goal keepers close angles and are capable of reacting in many different ways to any given situation, including changing their centre of gravity.

Final Pass

Final pass options have been expanded, allowing for little knock-ons or low passes thanks to new physics routines which aim to ensure the ball behaves realistically in every situation.

1 on 1

Totally reworked close control which claims to have greatly improved a player’s ability to dribble into space and beat your marker. Take on defenders using each player’s bespoke dribbling skills rather than having to rely on trick moves. Not only will some players be able to go on jinking runs, but responsive sprints will provide a much wider range of pace – from walking to sprinting.

Incredible Response Times

Konami is promising “lightning fast controls” to enable players to instinctively react to every movement on the pitch.

Full Pitch AI

AI is constantly adjusted according to everything that develops on the pitch, resulting in players making runs, finding space and marking opponents even when off the screen.

Case for Defence

Users have complete control over when to close down, tackle, or hold up play. Successful defending is now based entirely on the decisions the user makes and not what the AI decides to do.

All this comes in addition to the strides made in visuals thanks to the full implementation of Kojima Production’s Fox Engine.

PES 2015 will be released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and additional formats during autumn/winter period of 2014.
