PES 2014 will be released in the UK on September 20 for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC, Konami has announced. Versions for PS2 and PSP will follow.

This means the game hits stores one week before FIFA 14.

The game's packaging will focus on the Champions League license, rather than individual players, featuring the "globally familiar iconography of the tournament".

Prior to the release of the game, a playable demo will be released on September 11 for PS3, and on September 12 on Xbox 360. The demo will be fully representative of the final game, allowing users to play as several teams within a full match scenario. The demo will also include a tutorial element.

Furthermore, Konami has detailed its DLC plans for PES 2014. Pre-order the title at selected retailers to receive exclusive Classic European and Latin American kits to the main game. These include sides such as Benfica, Manchester United, AS Roma and AC Milan.

Additional digital pre-orders and digital purchasers post-launch will be able to access a limited release DLC, which will add third kits for teams such as Manchester United and Juventus, and multiple Latin American 3rd kits.

Roster updates, new kit elements and additional DLC will also be regularly available during PES 2014's lifespan.
