PES 2014 will release in the US on September 24, the same day FIFA 14 hits the territory, Konami has announced.
A Tweet from the publisher only confirmed the US release date, but Konami did follow up by stating that the “European release date will be announced shortly”.
A Konami representative told VideoGamer.com that there is no news on a UK release date at this time.
Usual release date conventions suggest PES 2014 will arrive in the UK on Friday, September 27, the same day as FIFA 14. However, PES 2013 actually launched in the UK the Friday before the US release, suggesting a September 20 launch – a date which would give the game a much-needed one week advantage over FIFA 14.
Konami could also opt for the increasingly popular worldwide Tuesday launch, also offering a few days advantage over EA’s game.
