Atlus has confirmed that Persona 5: The Royal, an expanded version of 2017's critically acclaimed JRPG, will launch in the US and UK in 2020.

Persona 5: The Royal will make its Japanese debut in October this year, and will include additional characters and locations not seen in the original version of the game, plus an enhanced battle system. Also joining The Royal is Kasumi, a new female party member who will join up with the Phantom Thieves at some point.

In addition, a new third semester will be included in Persona 5: The Royal, as well as the extra Tokyo district, Kichijoji. The game will be released exclusively for PlayStation 4, and will also be enhanced for the PS4 Pro.
