Peggle 2, the sequel to the hugely successful puzzler from 2007, is to be released exclusively first on Xbox One, Microsoft has announced.

The game promises all-new levels, new and improved power-ups, multiplayer modes, gesture controls with Kinect for Xbox One, the ability to customise the Peggle Masters who host the game, and much more.

There’s no word on how long an exclusive period the game will have on Xbox One.

Also announced for Xbox One (and Xbox 360) is Minecraft creator Mojang’s Cobalt, an action-heavy platform shooter, which features a multiplayer mode for up to eight players. The game is being ported to console by FatShark AB.

Pontus Hammarberg, one of the developers of Cobalt commented: “Since we started developing Cobalt it’s been obvious that the game would feel right at home on a console. We’re working on a hefty single player campaign, but there’s nothing quite like experiencing the slow motion ballet of violence that is Cobalt with friends. Yeay!”

You can see what you’ll be getting by checking out the Cobalt alpha for PC and Mac.

Cobalt will be released for Xbox platforms in the first half of 2014.
