Oxygen Games has announced the development of PDC World Championship Darts 2008, the second instalment in the successful PDC World Championship Darts series.

This time around the game will offer more PDC players, improved physics, improved animations, more game modes, a full career based on the real PDC season and for the first time motion controls on the Wii.

The PS2 and PC versions will each feature improved controls, but the Wii game is set to take the game to a new level. Players will throw darts by using the Wii-mote to mimic a real darts throw. Smoothness of release and timing will be key to hitting big scores and tricky out shots.

All versions of the game will also feature a host of darts-based party games.

PDC World Championship Darts 2008 is scheduled for release alongside the staging of the 2008 Ladbrokes.com World Darks Championship in December.
