Some have already questioned the decision for Polyphony Digital to include the niche B-Spec mode in Gran Turismo 5, but fans of that mode are set for even greater levels of excitement. Soon B-Spec mode will be controllable via a PC.
According to a tweet by Gran Turismo creator Kazunori Yamauchi, a web-based interface will make it possible to not only monitor the progress of races, but also issue instructions, such as enter the pits and overtake.
The new functionality is expected early in 2011.

B-Spec races can go on for some time, so the ability to leave the console and do something else on a PC/Mac and still manage the race is a nice addition.
We do feel it’s something which very few players are likely to use, however.
