Treyarch and Activision have announced that the imminent Call of Duty World at War PC multiplayer beta won’t be limited to a set number of players. Unlike the mad dash to grab a key for entry into the Xbox 360 beta, PC gamers are simply required to sign up to CallOfDuty.com. All members, new or old, will be given a key.
The PC beta functions as a limited multiplayer distribution of the game, with players able to host their own servers. As with the Xbox 360 beta all accounts will be deleted once the beta ends, meaning all XP and such will not be transferable to the final game.
More details on when the beta will begin are promised in the next developer blog update over on CallOfDuty.com.
Call of Duty World at War is scheduled for release on PC, Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, PS2 and DS on November 14.
