Paint by DS is part of Mercury Games’ Zen Series – titles which offer relaxing, non-violent and non-competitive experiences.
The game is a digital colouring book which enables all players to recreate masterpieces by renowned artists such as, Cezanne and Van Gogh, in their own artistic style.
The DS touch screen and stylus is used to mix oil and water-based paints to create colours and consistencies and then to apply the paint to a canvas. Paint by DS will include 15 colouring challenge, plus a variety of fun mini-games based on the famous artworks found in the game.
Paint by DS is scheduled for release across Europe on August 24 priced £19.99 and will be available in two limited edition versions: one with a paint set and one with a paint book. A US release date is currently planned for Q4 2007.
