Overwatch’s open beta is now live on PS4, Xbox One and PC, Blizzard has announced. The beta offers full, unrestricted access to all content included at launch, including the game’s complete roster of heroes, maps and “launch-day features”, and will be available to play until next Monday, May 9.

To download it you’ll need around 11GB on PS4 and Xbox One, and 6.5GB on PC. You’ll also need an Xbox Live Gold account to play on Xbox One, but do not need a PS Plus subscription to play on PS4. A PS Plus subscription will be required, however, when the game launches later this month.

Progression made in the beta will not carry over to the full game, either.

Overwatch is a 6v6 online multiplayer hero-shooter that features 21 unique characters, 12 maps and four different game modes, including Control, Assault, Escort and Assault/Escort Hybrid.

Alice went hands-on with it last month and came back thinking it had a distinctly Team Fortress 2-vibe about it… You can check out her thoughts in the video below.

Overwatch launches on PS4, Xbox One and PC on May 24. Pre-order Overwatch now from Amazon.
