Blizzard Entertainment has an Overwatch-shaped carrot to dangle in front of your eyes as the popular shooter celebrates its second anniversary this month.

The World of Warcraft studio confirmed that the Overwatch Anniversary 2018 is officially a thing following weeks of speculation, which means a loot box of new content is winging its way to the game.

The celebrations kick off on May 22, when players will be able to get their hands on all previously released Brawl modes and seasonal cosmetic items. In other words, if you missed out on stuff like the Halloween and Christmas-themed content, you'll be able to get your mitts on them soon enough.

If that wasn't enough, Overwatch will also receive a slew of fresh content to mark its second birthday, including a new Deathmatch map known as Petra, a heap of new character skins, plus dancing emotes for Doomfist, Moria, and Brigitte.

Newcomers needn't feel left out, either. Blizzard is launching a digital-only Overwatch Legendary Edition, which features the base game plus a bunch of Legendary, Epic, and Origin skins. You can also play the game free during the period May 25-29.

Blizzard is currently teamed up with the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, where you can purchase an in-game charity skin to help donate to the cause.
