Blizzard has revealed in its latest Developer Update that there’ll be some new additions coming to Overwatch soon. First up will be a new eight-player Deathmatch mode, plus a Team Deathmatch, a new map and some Heroes updates.

In Deathmatch eight players will do battle to the death, which some have noted is slightly in opposition to the team spirit of the rest of the game. Each kill grants a point and it’s the first to 20 points that’ll win the match. Team Deathmatch splits the eight-players into two teams of four, the aim this time around is to be the first team to reach 30 points. These two new modes will be supported with a new map, called Château Guillard, which is the home of the not to be messed with Widowmaker. C’est vraiment magnifique.

Players in the Public Test Region can try out these modes straight away. Adjustments are being made to certain Heroes in the PTR which includes buffs for the likes of Junkrat and Widowmaker. Still no positive news for poor old Roadhog fans.
