Blizzard has announced that Doomfist will be added to the Overwatch heroes roster next week. Doomfist, the highly anticipated new hero, will be available to play from July 27. Doomfist is the 25th addition to the playable characters roster to date. He was announced earlier in the month, and was included as part of the games PTR (public test realm) in order to test and fine-tune the characters balance.

Doomfist is a notorious mercenary who’s one of the leaders of Talon. He’s an offense class character, his cybernetics ensure he is a highly agile, yet powerful frontline fighter. The Hand Cannon is his primary attack, a four-shot weapon that fires projectiles from his knuckles one at a time or in a single blast. With his secondary attack, the Rocket Punch, he charges forwards and delivers blows which knock back any opponent they connect with, dealing extra damage if the opponent hits a wall.

To celebrate this news, Blizzard has released a new heroes preview, which offers an insight into the development of Doomfist, his abilities, and shows off his brute strength in action. Doomfist will debut in the console versions of Overwatch on July 27. Smashing.
