Season Two of Overkill's The Walking Dead has kicked off, introducing a wealth of new content for the cooperative zombie survival-'em-up.

In addition, Starbreeze, Skybound Entertainment, and 505 Games have revealed that a new version of the game, the Starter Edition, is now available for $29.99. This features all of the content included in Season One of Overkill's The Walking Dead.

Season Two of the horror title kicks off a brand new story, as the survivors face a new enemy embedded on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. The first chapter, No Sanctuary, sees the survivors storm Georgetown in a daring raid to rescue an informant, and will be followed by eight additional episodes taking players through to summer 2019.

In addition to fresh story missions, Overkill's The Walking Dead has also gained in-game voice chat within Steam, while The Survival Guide is a handy tutorial that brings newcomers up to speed with the core mechanics of the game.

Meanwhile, Season Two will bring additional weapons, mods, and 'other surprises' in the coming months.

Overkill's The Walking Dead launched for PC earlier this month, although sales were below expectations. The game is due to roll out for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in Feburary 2019.
